A week or so a ago we were on a hire where the client was showing their website in Google Chrome on one of our touchscreen 42″ inch kiosks. This had been hired to London Olympia.
Because the client had encountered it before on a previous hire with a touchscreen kiosk from another provider they asked us if the Pinch and Zoom ability in Chrome was disabled in Kiosk mode.
In all honesty we had never been asked this before and had to test. Well in short no it had not and the website could via the multi touch be expanded or minimized and the whole look was ruined.
After a bit of Googling about Google we found an answer to the problem and managed to disable the zoom in zoom out function.
This is how:
First navigate to the Google chrome Properties window as seen below:
After the text \chrome.exe” and where you currently see the text –enable-audible-notifications type –disable-pinch.
Please note it is important to have a space after chrome.exe” and a space between multile commands.
We found this answer to our problem here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48507-enable-disable-edge-swipe-screen-windows-10-a.html
