Which Size Touchscreen To Hire & Use?
We hire for short term and long term all sizes of touchscreen monitors and kiosks.
We hire to exhibition centres throughout the UK and Europe. These can be wall mounted using various VESA brackets or can be displayed on trolleys. Our trolleys can hold the screens in portrait or landscape orientation.
Smaller screens can be displayed on desks and tables – the large screens need to be supported with sturdy walls or trolleys.
When discussing a potential hire with clients we often discuss which size screen is more appropriate for their hire.
Of course the larger the size of screen – up to 100 inches – yes One Hundred Inches – the more expensive the hire. But there are may other factors to consider.
Firstly different sized screens suit different applications. If you want to sit down and have a one on one with a client at your exhibition then anything beyond a 27″ screen is probably too big. A screen bigger than this will usually mean that you are standing rather than sitting down and that everyone around you will see what you are discussing and looking at. This can make some customers self-conscious and will distract them from your message or sale.
If you are looking to demonstrate content to a crowd or intend to catch the attention of passers by then a bigger touchscreen will be more appropriate. These vary in size from 42inch to 100inches.
A 42″ screen is more than up to this job – but very often clients use this size screen when they wish to have more than one screen and show different content on each or to show the same content to different audiences at different locations within their stand.
A 42 inch touchscreen is about the right size if you want your customers to approach and use the screen. Screens that are bigger than this can often be too big for naive customers to use. They can lose themselves in the size of the screen and will not see all the content you want them to see.
If you are looking to demonstrate screen content to a crowd or audience using a touchscreen the most popular size is a 65″ touchscreen and then in increasing increments up to 100 inches. The image above shows two people using a 65″ touchscreen, It may not seem that there would be much difference between this and say an 80″ screen – but the difference is huge.
Here is a picture of a 70″ touchscreen being used:
And whilst screens are much lighter than they were in the past you should also consider the weight of screen. Particularly if you intend to wall mount them. A good sturdy wall will need to be constructed at a stand on an exhibition for the wall to hold the weight of an 80 inch or 100 inch touchscreen.
